"Well, in that case, Richard Edgar Alexander Rodgers Castle...yes, yes, I will marry you". |
The episode didn't wind. He went direct to the question that everyone wanted to know the answer. In fact, the two questions, and the answers came at the same time. Yes and Yes. Beckett accepted Castle’s proposal and took the job in DC (which has always been my guess about what would happen). The complicity and opening between them grew so much that is admirable. No more walls, no more lies. She loves him, he can't live without her. And now everything is easier, see? They have opening to say what they want, what they think and, then, they understand each other. They accept each other and their individual choices, once again. [But, can I say something? I was really waiting for an “Always” as answer]
I really liked that Beckett have not give up on DC because of Castle, but didn’t give up on Castle because of DC at the same time. That was what I wanted and expected when I saw the end of Watershed. However, I think the episode showed that things can get a little more complicated for the couple, and we have to - again- use our favorite phrase: In Marlowe we trust.

For the Casketters on duty, the episode was to fill the eyes and melt the heart, I never saw them both so cute and so romantic together. It was absolutely adorable, with their statements like "I couldn't go another week without seeing you". Good Morning kisses on the neck, and scenes - eagerly awaited- in the bathroom . Well, one ABC's level scene, but still a scene in the bathroom (which was already a big step. Yeah "Oh , God") . My favorite scene of the episode was exactly this one. But no, not because it was really hot. It was because of a simpler fact. Because of a little Beckett's detail. The rings on her neck. That place before occupied just by her mother, one restricted place, can now be divided without guilt. Castle was officially placed on the list of things who guide Beckett, the things that make her life worthwhile. Castle next to her mother, the mother that he may never meet. It was really touching, and still is. That says a lot, about Beckett and all her mystery.

I want to say, right away, that the Beckett's job on DC bothers me at one point: We saw Ryan and Espo just a few times and - again- nothing about Lanie at the premiere. Ryan worried about being a father (Yes, Espo. Will be four long months), Espo saving the day again and Martha with her "surprises" only gave that “Castle’s touch” for the episode.
But Castle isn't made just by romantic moments. This is a dramatic TV show and yes we have a lot of drama- especially in the end. Castle was intoxicated, after the car accident with the kidnapper, with an aerosol toxin present in the car, and the episode ends with the bomb that our favorite writer has just one day to live. My heart was aching and my mind became a snowball. (How to survive a week without knowing the continuation?). We know that he's not going to die, after all, he has Kate Beckett as a bride (and I can say that I lost count of how many times the word "fiancé" was mentioned and how much I loved that). The question is how our detective will figure out how to get rid of this toxin, that's in the blood stream, in less than 24 hours.
PS 1: Start the show with a double episode was an really big joke with the fans.
PS 2: Watching Castle's premiere in group is good for health and keeps you alive. (I'm living proof, but emotionally shaken).
PS 3: What was Beckett saying "Sorry" to the monitor, watching Castle?!So lovely!
PS 4: I Loved the FBI's toys, but still love even more the NYPD.
PS 5: Pi showed up and "Mr. C" may haven't liked that very much. Castle will turn fruitarian?
